You Were My Favourite Flavour

BW

You had me instantly

At the sweetness of your lips.

You were the spice of my tasteless life

Salty sweat and tears

Through the endless nights.

Bitterness that you brought

After the sweetness had subsided

Hadn’t surprised me

Because

The sour taste of disappointment

Was always the main chorus

Of my life.

Such sadness within but once again you weave the words so beautifully..

      Thank you. 🙂

I have never thought of my writing as…beautiful.

You make my self-confidence into a real thing and not an imaginary bubble. 😀

It’s true, when you write from the heart like you have it all flows so perfectly, like a melody 🙂

I agree with Robert Jepson. This poem is beautiful and poignant. I especially like the line – you were the spice of my tasteless life. Love how the line flows when you speak it… Very deep and sensual.
    Nice work, Tina!

      Thank you!

      When I saw DP..it just came to me…this memory in a form of a taste…of a flavour…strange?

      😀

          LOL…it is, in fact… 😀

I usually perceive myself as a strange, because of a strange mindflow…not like the usual ones surrounding me… 🙂
